The living conditions at the camp were very hard for the family. The Japanese had to pass through hard situations.
The food wasn’t served like they were used to and they found it disgusting. They served the rice with sweet things. They can’t eat such a mixture. The living rooms in the camps were small. They were sixteen by twenty feet long. Those rooms were crowded. The family’s got two cubicles for twelve people to share. The cabins were dusty because it had a lot of holes in the walls. They woke up in the mornings and they were coated with dust that had been blown through the knotholes and through the slits around the doorway. The cubicles look they were sprayed with fine dust
All of these things made their life hard for the family’s in the camp.
